2024 Legislative Priorities

Audubon’s Survival by Degrees report tells us birds face unprecedented threats from climate change and land-use. Two-thirds of North American bird species may face unlivable conditions across their current ranges by 2080. There is no path to stabilizing the climate without dramatically changing how we produce electricity and codifying support for preservation and restoration. Known as a nonpartisan organization, we play a unique role as a connector and convener across the political spectrum and Audubon recognizes that public policy has a catalytic effect on protecting bird habitat and addressing climate change. This tracker provides current information on legislation we support in Maryland. We encourage you to use this tool as you advocate for healthy birds and a healthy planet!
