Join us for an enchanting evening as the Heartwood Traveling Library of Phoenixville hosts a sharing circle of poetry and performance in honor of birds and their awe-inspiring fall migration.

Step into our open-air “parlor,” thoughtfully arranged with vintage rugs, cozy couches, and lanterns, where multidisciplinary artists will present an aviary of creative work inspired by our feathered companions.

Featured artists include:

Dagmar Holl, local storyteller and photographer, sharing pieces from her evocative collection "When Women Were Birds."
 

Jane Dugdale, beloved community leader, will share from her collection of bird poems, their observant mindfulness made all the more poignant by her work back to verbal expression after a stroke.

If you would like, we invite you to bring your own favorite bird-themed poem, quote, or passage to share - or simply choose something on the spot from our curated library. Or just listen to each other and enjoy the spirit of migration.

We also encourage you to bring a folding chair or blanket to settle in and get comfortable.

Tea and cookies will be provided. Registration is requested but not required.
