In 2021, Audubon Mid-Atlantic merged the Pennsylvania and Maryland-DC state programs to scale our work in new ways to create a brighter future for birds, people, and communities throughout the region. As a regional program of the National Audubon Society, Audubon Mid-Atlantic represents a network of more than 100,000 members, 25 local Audubon chapters, three nature centers, as well as thousands of annual visitors, volunteers, and partners.
Even in the face of continued challenges from the COVID pandemic, Audubon staff members continued our important conservation, policy, education, and public engagement work—all designed to advance our mission to protect birds and the places they and people need to thrive.
The Audubon Mid-Atlantic Impact Report Fall 2021 highlights the most recent successes carrying us into 2022 and informing the ongoing planning process to develop a vision for our regional work. The report showcases key programs and successes including:
- Delaware River Watershed
- Chesapeake Bay Tidal Marshes
