Audubon Mid-Atlantic’s policy work focuses on engaging our members and the public in advocating for change at the state and local levels while supporting Audubon’s national Healthy Bird Healthy Planet Policy Agenda that reflects our Flight Plan priorities. We work in tandem with Audubon chapters, partner organizations, and elected officials to support legislation, policy and regulatory changes, and funding that prioritize protecting birds and the places they need to survive. We recognize that communities that are healthy for birds are also places that are healthy for people. To that end, we focus our policy and advocacy priorities on issues that will benefit birds and people alike throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
