Pickering Creek Audubon Center
Open 365 days a year from sun-up to sun-down for walking, nature photography, enjoying the quiet and more, Pickering Creek Audubon Center is located Easton, Maryland on the Eastern Shore. The 410 acre property is a working farm that includes tidal and nontidal wetlands, mature woodland, warm season grass meadows, agricultural fields, herb garden, and waterfront trails. Recent wildlife sightings include Bobolinks, Bald Eagles and more. Donated to Chesapeake Audubon Society in 1980 by George Olds and Margaret Strahl, for the express purpose of providing visitors with taste of the quiet, rural and natural beauty that the Eastern Shore offers, Pickering Creek Audubon Society is a beautiful place to visit and enjoy. Though staff focuses on serving all Talbot County schools, grades K through 12 with science-based, hands-on education, Pickering offers a full suite of programs for the public including lectures, canoe trips, farm tours and more.
